Alhamdulillah, the administration of Masjidul Bayaan is pleased to announce that a rental property has been chosen. InshaAllah, we believe that the community will find the new location to be very suiting to our needs. The pending new location was a former banquet hall and features:

• Amble room for men and women
• Central heating and cooling
• Income potential for the masjid (details to be announced at a later date)
• Adjacent parking lot 
• Lower Rent then our current location
  
• Potential to own the property if it works out for us, inshaAllah tala

Anyone who has visited us at our location on Bond Street will know that these features will be greatly appreciated by our community. Formerly the building was cramped with poor temperature control. Parking was also a major issue as we were not allowed to use any of the parking lots on Bond Street. With the addition of income potential for the masjid the location chosen seems very ideal inshaAllah. 

Upon finalizing plans and a rental contract more details will be forthcoming.

We are in need of funding for the rental deposit ($3200), small renovations that need to be done the property to make it suit our needs (carpeting, etc), and the anticipated increase in our utility bill. Please help us make this move that will allow the masjid to continue to operate and inshaallah in a more stable fashion.

The administration of Masjidul Bayaan is sad to report that we have lost our lease without the option of extension. As of January 15th we will be vacating 209 Bond Street. This leaves us in a situation where we are quickly looking at potential rentals while searching for a more permanent solution. Formerly, we had hoped to renovate our property on Sewall Ave that was purchased for this purpose. However, after working extensively with a local architectural firm it was determined that renovations would cost over $1 million. The decision was made that this is well beyond the means of our small community and it is now on the market for sale. 

At this time we are closely looking at rental properties, and hope to move quickly so that there is no significant amount of time where the community of Asbury Park does not have a building, inshaaAllah tala. The estimated cost for our current needs is $8,000-$10,000. This amount needed is for rental deposit, rent, and lawyer fees to address any city zoning issues. 

We are turning to the online community to ask for help as it is not always easy for our community to raise significant amounts quickly. Donating is very simple and can be done either online or through postal mail.
